I realized that I tend to write in this overly-honest manner bc my favorite books when I was a kid were mostly faux-memoirs like

the diaries of adrian mole, bridget jones' diaries, even that parody of bill gates in diary form where I first learned about the tech world

oh and anne lister's actual diaries, no wonder i love those hahaha

Gah because I don't publish very much most likely hahaha. Trying to get my stuff together, I've got hundreds of articles just haven't finished many of them.

I love your plan and your attitude about it! It’s just an experiment. Learn and revise. And I love your view that time blocking is a tool that will nurture you, rather than some sort of punishment. Please keep us apprised.

❤️ Yuhong's bluntness.

But, yeup, what do the dishes and laundry matter when the next assignment is due in 2 days, and you're, say, 3 lectures behind because you're avoiding your study partner, who turned out to be a creep?

Sometimes there's no good option, and among the less bad ones is letting the dishes go.

Thanks for being so open here. I feel you on the "how do you write when things aren't going well" question. Last Friday I was feeling uninspired but had some notes for a post and finished and got it out anyway, not sure whether that was the best thing to do or if I should have waited until Monday to see if I felt more excited to write. But on Sunday I heard from a friend how much she appreciated it and how she told a story from the post to like three more people just that morning who also really resonated with it. And that made it feel worth it, I think... this time, anyway :)...

Congrats with the new community!! I'd love to chat about it/get to know you if you have slots in your morning? I'm in IST so the current slots are a bit tough :')

I understand the 'write as you are' vibe. I've been trying to find a rhythm again after some minor health stuff that got prolonged. Luckily I'm fine but getting a rhythm or energy back has been challenging.

One reframe I'm using: do it tired anyway. then get more sleep

It's been really tough emotion wise even though life is objectively better right now - but hey it's all in the head I guess
