Christin's Behind-the-Scenes Sunday 🎥
Planning my entire life in Miro, Narrative as credibility, Journal Zendo
Dear Ones,
As mentioned in the previous newsletter, I've made a YouTube video where I planned my life using Miro:
I appreciate a YouTube comment, even just an emoji! (Try 🪅)
Using Miro to overcome mental blockers
I had a follow up whiteboard coaching session with Chris Wong on overcoming mental blockers about showcasing credibility in public. That conversation goes into a few tangents (part of the fun of whiteboarding, but may not be as clear to follow along in a video format.) So I'm giving that video a few quick edits in Description before publishing.
We focused on credibility based on what Louie Bacaj, a well-respected creator and friend expounds:
Narrative is credibility
One major insight I gained from my conversation with Chris is that I'm not wrestling with credibility, it's that I never truly shared my personal story across all the fields I'm working in now! The content I'm putting out right now, especially on Buddhism and science, can use more context as to the number of years I've invested in studying them, and the trials and tribulations it took to get here. With Write of Passage, I learned to share from the "now": what I know as of the moment I wrote them. Now it's time for me to share my past, to show how I got here with today's view points. The journey is its own credibility.
Journal Zendo: New Season in June!
With that said, I've journaled >750 words for 50 days in a row, hosting journaling and meditation for all the weekdays. I was supported by friends who have shown me the deep insights they gained within the hour, and I look forward to sharing the next season of this community next month after I return from a digital sabbath (fishing trip with friends) and a week long silent retreat.
Please sign up for the Journal Zendo mailing list to be the first to know when it returns! I will be offering new time slots friendly to different time zones and work schedules. This also helps me figure out interest and adapt the offering.
This newsletter was written in Obsidian with my thumbs, on the plane to Colorado for a week off-grid. See you all in the next edition!
Warm Wishes,
Christin
P.S. I revamped my instagram account (@christin.grams) to feature AI-generated art. Let me know a phrase/idea and I'll craft some images in your honor. Let's blend our imaginations with the machines...
