Dear Ones,
One thing that’s been on my mind this week is the idea of resiliency. I’ve been researching this topic for the upcoming workshop on Tues (you can still register btw!) and I reviewed an essay draft written by a psychologist friend on the same topic.
There’s of course the idea of Resiliency against hardships in life. The Big “R” Resiliency.
But what I am hoping to build in addition, is little “r” resiliency as a creator.
The resiliency to keep creating without measuring the ROI every 3 seconds, and not judge my own work or other’s work by how popular they are. To keep creating even when my schedules and to-do lists go haywire. When my energy/focus levels are low.
I find that it’s much harder to share with my friends about little “r” because my projects sometimes don’t have clear financial goals.* But yet, I’m pretty sure I don’t want you guys to be celebrating my financial success at my funeral… 🤔 So refocusing back, am I contributing to your life enough? And how are you feeling in terms of your little “r”?
Warm Wishes,
Christin
